Spiritual Importance:
Guru Purnima is especially important in the yogic and spiritual traditions. It is believed that on this day, Lord Shiva became the Adi Guru (first teacher) and began imparting knowledge to the Saptarishis (seven sages). It is also the birth anniversary of the great sage Maharishi Ved Vyasa, who compiled the Vedas and wrote the Mahabharata. Hence, this day is also celebrated as Vyasa Purnima.

गुरु का महत्व:
